Paper Tiger Let's Get This Party Started Online
Paper Tiger is a party supplies and fancy dress retailer in Leicester.
Paper Tiger was hit badly during the pandemic, and to be more resilient they wanted an easy to manage ecommerce solution.
Branding #
Having an established local brand since 1970 we wanted to stay true to Paper Tigers roots, we tweaked the paper tiger word mark to make it more legible at smaller sizes for mobile.
We replaced the tiger mascot with more abstract tiger stripes that could be used to add a flourish of detail on things like shopping bags for in store shopping and collections.
And we used more refreshing pastel yellow to appeal to the target demographic and remove emphasis from the brand colour for the website.
Design and Build #
The best solution for Paper Tiger was a fully managed Shopify Store. We created a custom theme and scaffolded a series of collection and product templates for the team to use to merchandise their products.
We modified the standard collection template to include add to basket buttons, which would get a lot of use given the products are often bought in multiples and as part of a bigger order.
Results #
Paper Tiger are now successfully running their own ecommerce store. They have a team of three that handle in-store and online sales.
They're using the data the new store captures to adapt their buying strategy and serve their customers better.
